The HEINZMANN DirectPower system – Noiseless drive that feels like a constant tail wind!
Built around the innovative HEINZMANN 3-phase direct drive hub motor, this system takes electric cycling to the next level. The parameters of its digital controller can be customised to fit your specific bicycle and riding style. From high torque settings for cargo bikes to high speed for fast road bikes, nearly everything is possible. You can choose between rear and front wheel motors, and two different types of battery (rack or frame mounted). A display on the handlebars keeps you informed about speed, range, and battery charge. The power output is computer controlled, with a speed sensor and/or a twist grip acting as input. On long downhill passages you can engage electric braking to spare the brake pads and recharge the battery. Rear motors can hold derailleur cassettes with up to 10 gears. Both, rear and front motors have a flange to mount a standard brake disk. Depending on driving style, weight, and road conditions, the DirectPower system can achieve a range of up to 60 miles on one charge.
